CVS Trip 4/17

I knew what I wanted on my CVS trip this week. It was just a matter of getting it planned the best way to get the lowest OOP. I had a 20% coupon from my email last week that expired today (4/17), so I was waiting until today to see if I would get another email coupon to use for a second transaction. Today, I received a $5/25 purchase coupon, so I was able to split my stuff into 2 transactions to get the most savings. I did buy 3 Dawn Dish Soaps with NO coupons. Reason was because I needed just a tad over $2 to get to a $25 total for the 2nd transaction, and we can always use dish soap right. lol I had ECBs to cover it, so I knew I was good.
I walked into the store today with $28.94 in ECBs, and this is how it went!

6 L’Oreal GO 360 Exfoliating Facial Scrub $5.29 ea
Coupons Used:
20% CVS Coupon from email last week (took off $6.35)
$4/20 CVS Coupon for any Facial Skin Care
(3) $5/2 L’Oreal Facial Skin Care Items RP 4/13 (6/7)
$5 ECB
Total OOP $1.39 and got back $10 ECBs
Transaction #2
3 Dawn Dish Soap .99 ea
1 Colgate Max $3.00
2 Charmin Ultra Soft 16 ct $9.99 ea

$5/25 CVS Purchase Coupon from today’s email
$2.50 off Colgate Toothpaste CVS coupon from Red Machine this week
(2) $1/1 Charmin Ultra Soft or Strong, 12ct+ printable coupons
(1) .50/1 3.4 oz+ Toothpaste SS 4/13 (4/26)
$15 ECBs
Total OOP .95 and got back $5 ECBs
Total OOP from both transactions – $2.34 and saved $69.08 after all coupons, sales, and ECBs!! I spent $20 ECB today, but left with $15 more, and in a couple of days, I will get another $5 ECB from the CVS Beauty Club for my L’Oreal purchase today!

I started following The Coupon Wizards after doing some research on the subject, with a little prodding from a friend, and coming across them on Facebook. I was hooked immediately & started to learn quickly. Mostly out of necessity, but also because I loved everything about it. The organization, the researching, the putting together of deals, but most of all, the savings! I was saving my family money to pay those bills & be able to eat all at the same time. This blog was a life saver; literally! In no time at all, I was a blogger myself on the site. My husband has since found a job, but this is now mine and I love, love, love it and hope you will to.
